This year a group of Rebel alumni and enthusiasts came together and started the Rebel Pride Jacket Drive. This initiative was created to make sure that every Rural Special student who wanted a Rebel letterman jacket was able to get one. There were 36 students in grades 10-12 who didn't already own a jacket and who wanted one. With the help of the following sponsors , those students received jackets tonight:

Rural Special FCCLA attended the Region 2 District Conference and STAR events on Thursday, December 12. Danielle Pipkin, Emily West, Tucker Taylor, Nolan Winkle, and Sabrina McBroom qualified to compete at the State STAR events in April .

Our high school students in grades 7-12 will be leaving school after lunch today to travel to Mountain View High School for an event for Red Ribbon Week. Students will return to school before the end of the school day.

For the month of September, these kindergarteners, 1st, and 2nd graders missed 1 or less days of school, and received a free Sonic Slush coupon! Students who missed 0 days also had their names entered in a drawing for a carload pass to the Stone County Drive In.

For the month of September, these 3rd and 4th graders received free slush coupons from Sonic for their good attendance! Students who missed 0 days, had their names entered in a drawing to win a carload pass to the Stone County Drive In-- the winner was Andi Hedgecock. Congratulations to Andi and all of these students!

Rural Special Cross Country had a successful run at the Caveman Open sponsored by Cave City yesterday. Our Junior Boys brought home a 1st place victory! The Junior Boys team consists of: Kamrin Kennedy, Tucker Taylor, Dakota Cooper, Grady Smith, Jake Currie, Brentley Davis, Easton Youngblood, Wyatt Morrison, Conway Pagett, and Mason Knapp. Other exciting results include:
